Abubaker Lndi is a researcher with expertise in the contemporary trans-Saharan trade, migration and cross-border violence, his geographical focus has been Libya and the Sahel. His research mainly is based on primary findings of fieldwork. He is a PhD candidate in Comparative Politics with a focus on Migration Studies at the University of Lisbon.
Previously he worked with the UN Agency for Migration (IOM) in the Protection, Transition and Recovery divisions. In addition, he has worked as a consultant for various organisations, such as the Council of Europe, the International Commission on Missing Persons and the Danish Institute for International Studies. He also worked as a Forced Migration Research Fellow at the University of Oxfords’ Refugees Studies Centre.
