Khaing Aye Nyein is an emerging researcher focused on governance, conflict, and the role of drone warfare in shaping conflict and security dynamics in Myanmar. Khaing holds a Master of Public Policy (Foreign & Defence Policy) from the Australian National University, for which she was an Australia Awards scholar. She has ten years of experience at the Australian Embassy Myanmar, where she conducted domestic political and conflict analysis that informed Australia’s foreign policy towards Myanmar, while also contributing to aid management, democratic governance and human right portfolios.
